Jack B. Harrison

Jack B. Harrison, age 84, of Presque Isle (formerly of Baraboo) passed away on Monday Dec. 3, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on Sept. 22, 1934 to parents William and Lilian (Baxter) Harrison, in Baraboo. On Nov. 15, 1952 he was united in marriage to Shirley Joan Brei. Jack was a farmer and worked in road construction for many years as well as the Manager of CW Co-op Transport. More recently he founded Harrison Trucking. Jack served at Town Chairman of Presque Isle for 22 years. He was a member of the Presque Isle Lion's Club and served on the County Board as Supervisor for Vilas County. Jack and Shirley enjoyed their time running a campground in Presque Isle.Survivors include his children, Katherine (Gary) Westphal, Mary Boyd, Jack (Lora) Harrison, Terri (Phil) Herritz, and Linda Harrison; grandchildren, Jay (Michael) Boyd, Robert (Nichole) Boyd, Michael (Billi Jo) Harrison, Jackie (David) Ringelstetter, Jesse (Courtney) Harrison, Mary (Brad) Foster, Nick Westphal and Chris (Leah) Westphal. He is further survived by his great-grandchildren, Devan, Treyton, Trevor, Maci, Jaxon Westphal, Tyler and Caitlin Boyd, Joshua, Mya and Paige Harrison, Emmett, Easton James and Ollie Baxter Ringelstetter, Jaxon Harrison, Courtney, Haley and Austin Foster; sister, Belva Jean Pickett and sister-in-law, Connie Harrison as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; brothers, Walt, Phil and Dean and son-in-law, Jim Boyd.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
