Eleanor Meyer

Eleanor Meyer, age 99 of Baraboo passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at Sauk County Health Care Center. Eleanor, daughter of John and Lillian (Kilmer) Davis was born Nov. 8, 1918 in Portage. She married Edward Meyer in Baraboo on June 12, 1948 at the United Methodist Church Parsonage; he preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2003. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church.Eleanor loved being with her grandchildren, her home, feeding the birds, and her flowers. She and Ed enjoyed many years of vacationing and fishing at "Norms" in Minocqua, Wi. They also liked to take rides in their little red truck looking for wild life. Eleanor loved her country and there was always a flag in her yard. She was very proud of her seven brothers who all served for their country.She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Tom) Marquardt of Reedsburg; grandsons, Matthew Marquardt of Baraboo and Michael Marquardt of Reedsburg; one brother, Don Davis of California; two sisters-in-law, Mary Bresnahan of Portage and Kate Lindloff of Reedsburg; one step daughter-in-law, Joice Meyer, and two step grandsons, Curt and David Meyer.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; brothers, Charles, Clinton "Bud", Leo, Jack, Bob and Pat; her sisters, Ethel and Ann; and a step-son, Stanley Meyer.Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Marianne Cotter officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sauk County Health Care Center-Babbs Prairie Activity Department.
