Chad Edward Duchow


It is with great sadness that the family of Chad Edward Duchow announces his passing on Saturday, May 05, 2018. Chad, loving son of Beverly Larkee, was born on June 16, 1973.Chad volunteered for 22 years for the North Freedom Fire Department and worked his way up to become a captain. He was an avid hunter, but what brought him the most joy was watching his daughters grow up. In 2003 he took over his grandparent's carnival and renamed it Mr. Ed's Magical Midways, LLC in honor of his grandfather. Chad was an avid lover and supporter of the outdoor amusement industry, and his early passing is a tragic loss for the industry as a whole.Chad will be lovingly remembered by his partner and best friend of 29 years, Lisa, and his two daughters Mariah and Sierra. He will also be dearly remembered by his mother, Beverly. He will be missed greatly by his Labrador retriever, Kaya.He is survived by his loving partner, Lisa Weiland; mother, Beverly Larkee; two daughters, Mariah and Sierra Weiland-Duchow; mother and father-in-law Darrell (Marilyn) Weiland; two brother/ sister-in-laws, Craig (Mindy) Schuett; Mike (Tracy) Weiland; uncle, Tracy Larkee; along with many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Edward and Irene Larkee.A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sauk County Fair Grounds with Pastor Andy Dear officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave. and then again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the fairgrounds.
