Muriel M. Snyder


Muriel M. Snyder, age 92 of Baraboo passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born April 3, 1925 in Whitewater. She was united in marriage to Clyman "Dutch" Snyder. Muriel was employed by Industrial Coils for over 20 years before her retirement. Her hobbies included crocheting, doing puzzles, playing Uno and going to garage sales with her best friend, Mable. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Melvin) Fortune of Baraboo; daughter-in-law, Penny (Bob Johnson) Snyder; granddaughter-in-law, Stephanie Diehl and her children Nickolas and Ava as well as other relatives and friends she is also survived by dear friend, Deanna Wise whom was like a daughter to Muriel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyman "Dutch"; son, Robert "Bob" Snyder; grandson, Chad Fortune; sisters, Eleanor Garbelman, Beatrice Sornson, Margaret Stelter and her brother, Hubert Welch. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Dunbar officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Private burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Our House in Baraboo, Pine Villa Memory Care in Sauk as well as friend, Shelly and nurse, Olah at Maplewood and RN, Kevin with Agrace Hospice for the loving care and support shown to Muriel and her family during the last few years.
