Lora Lynn Bram


Lora Lynn Bram, age 58 of Baraboo passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at UW Hospital. Lora, daughter of LeRoy and Margaret (Rose) Kraak was born Aug. 18, 1959 in Madison. She graduated from Monona Grove High School, Class of 1977. On June 20, 1987 she was united in marriage to David J. Bram at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Monona. Lora attended Madison Business College and received her Paralegal Degree. She proceeded to work for Lawton and Cates in Madison; she then attended University of Wisconsin and on Dec. 22, 1991 obtained a degree in Journalism. Lora furthered her studies by attending the University of Phoenix and received a MBA. Throughout her working career, Lora worked for various departments within the University of Wisconsin including Dept. of Medicine, Oncology, and Surgery for over 35 years. In her free time Lora loved traveling, antique hunting, hiking, camping and having bonfires. She had a love for reading but nothing could compare to her love of family; especially her nieces and nephews.Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, David; parents, LeRoy and Margaret Kraak; siblings, Christina Zabel, James Kraak, Kathy (Rick) Vander Sanden; mother-in-law, Sally Thompson; brother and sisters-in-law, Kathy Kristy, Scott, Will (Ali); nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends as well as her special four legged companion, Coco.She was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Kraak; and father-in-law, Elmer Bram.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Sauk County Humane Society or Catholic Charities. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
