Carol A. Nimmow, age 82 of Baraboo passed away on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison with family by her side. Carol, daughter of Lester and Mary (Smith) Franklin was born April 27, 1935 in New Bern, North Carolina. On Oct. 14, 1955 she was united in marriage to Donald Nimmow in Norfolk, Virginia. Carol worked as a homemaker, caring for her family. She will be remembered by many community members for passing out candy canes to everyone she could around the Christmas season. Survivors include her loving husband, Don of Baraboo; daughter, Diane Lucht of Reedsburg; granddaughters, Katherine Lucht of Bettendorf, Iowa and Kristina Lucht of Lake Delton; great-grandson, Carson Persack of Lake Delton as well as her brother, Wayne (Penny) Jennings of Waterloo, Illinois as well as many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Vernon Lucht.In keeping with Carol's wishes, no services will be held. Burial was held at Walnut Hill Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
