Lorraine F. Hellewell

Lorraine F. Hellewell, age 87 of Baraboo, passed peacefully into eternity on November 3, 2017 at Oak Park Place Independent Living with her two daughters by her side. Lorraine was born on October 27, 1930 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Millard and Winifred (Stevenson) Bergren. Lorraine met and married Louis P. Hellewell in 1947. They were married for 69 years until he passed away in September 2016. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, PEO, Lion's Ladies, Newcomer's Club, dance club, traveling and bridge with "the girls." She volunteered as President of the Altar Guild at Trinity Episcopal Church of Baraboo, Treasurer of the Ladies of the Church of Trinity Episcopal Church, President and Treasurer of the Ladies' Golf at Baraboo County Club and Activities Chair @ the Baraboo Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also BSA Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader. She is survived by her children, Joseph Hellewell III of Bailey, CO, Louis T. (Kathy) Hellewell of Spring, TX, Judith (Peter) McDonald of Madison, Darlene (Clark) Nielsen of Marietta, GA: Son-in-law, Tim Blum of Baraboo; stepbrother, Keath Bergren, OR; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great, great-grandchild as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis P. Hellewell; son, John Hellewell, daughter, Nancy Blum and grandson, Joshua Blum. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 12 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Baraboo. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Redlin Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Lorraine Hellewell at Agrace.org.
