Virginia Rose Marousek, 86, passed away Aug. 21, 2017 at Good Samaritan in Olathe, KS. Visitation 4-7:00 pm Mon., Aug. 28, 2017 at Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave, Baraboo, WI, 53913 608-356-6571 with a Rosary following at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Tues., Aug. 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 300 2^nd St. Baraboo, WI 53913. Burial follows at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Baraboo, WI. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com Virginia was born September 8, 1930 in Baraboo, WI to Frank and Lottie E. (James) Gonzagowski. She grew up in Baraboo where she graduated from Baraboo High School in 1948. Virginia married Lester Robert Marousek on October 27, 1951. She continued life as a homemaker in Baraboo. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Baraboo. Lester died in November 1985. Virginia moved to Warsaw, MO in the fall of 1992 and then to Lee's Summit, MO in the spring of 2011. She spent her last two years at the Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Olathe, KS. She enjoyed embroidery, knitting, and golfing. She will be dearly missed by friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband and siblings: Stanley Gonzagowski, Dorothy Becker and Catherine Hite. Virginia is survived by her children: Dale and wife Marilyn Marousek, Wisconsin Dells, WI, Donna and husband Rodney Slinker, Lee's Summit, MO, Charles and wife Beth Marousek, Bloomingville, OH, Robert Marousek, Columbus, WI and Diane and husband John Cox, Gardner, KS; siblings: Francis and wife Florence Gonzagowski, Leonard Gonzagowski, John and wife Catherine Gonzagowski, Roger and wife Marilyn Gonzagowski and Robert and wife Carol Gonzagowski; 13 grandchildren; loving great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
