LaVona Adams, age 83, of Baraboo, WI passed away May 25, 2017. LaVona was born on February 15, 1934 to Albert and Iva (Fry) Olson in Richland County, Wisconsin. LaVona was married to Bill Adams on May 26, 1984 in Baraboo. She was employed by Flambeau Plastic Factory in Baraboo and after her retirement she worked at Wal-Mart as a greeter. LaVona enjoyed crocheting, cooking and caring for her family. In her free time she enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers.LaVona is survived by her children, Alice (Greg) Woodward, Baraboo; Eugene (Sandy) Cook, Baraboo; Robert (Sandy) Cook, Lyndon Station; Gregory Cook, Evansville, IN; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Higgins, Jamie Cook, Greg Cook, Jr., Brenna Cook, Samuel Opperman, Taylor Cook and 6 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Casey, Gavin, Paris, Braxten, and Rainey. She is further survived by her brother, Robert Olson and sisters, Iva Mae Katun and LaNora Papenfuss. LaVona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Adams, four brothers and one sister; granddaughter, Casey Cook and grandson, Jason Higgins.Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Karen Hofstad officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Private inurnment will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to caregivers on Birch Lane at Maplewood for the care given to LaVona as well as Pam and Marilyn for the never ending friendship they shared with LaVona. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
