Virginia E. Satterlee

Virginia E. Satterlee, age 92 of Baraboo passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center. Virginia, daughter of Val and Mary (Pillow) Dage was born Jan. 30, 1925. She was united in marriage to Harold "Rusty" Satterlee in California. She was employed by various companies throughout her working career including waitressing for Devil's Head and the Ritz; she also worked as a Secretary for the Department of Defense. Virginia was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In her free time she enjoyed embroidery, coloring, and reading.

Survivors include her children, Doug (Julie) of Baraboo, Fred (Julia) Satterlee of Beach Park, Illinois; special daughter-in-law, LaDon Satterlee; grandchildren, Lori (Jim) Becker, Dawn (John) Satterlee-Yoose, Tammy Jo Stein, Brian Thielmann, Kim (Neal) Schmidt, Terry (Tammy) Thielmann, Scott (Val) Alderman, Kristen Lynn (Scott Beams) Satterlee; numerous great-grandchildren; step-sister, Valda Jean Lucky; special nephew, John (Janice) Curran as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Satterlee; daughter, Cheryl Davenport; and son-in-law, Rodney Davenport.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
