Charlotte Mae Davis


Charlotte Mae Davis, 84, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully Friday, April 21, 2017 after a brief illness with family members by her side. Charlotte was born July 7, 1932 to Vernie and Irene Ellingson in Athens, WI. She resided in the Wausau area until meeting the love of her life, Harold Davis. Together they raised six children, three from a previous marriage. Charlotte loved many things in life but none so much as her love for life itself. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, spending time with family and friends, her jigsaw and word puzzles. She loved attending church services and making crafts to donate to the giving tree.Charlotte is survived by her children, Gordon (Elaine) Davis of Baraboo, Sue (David) Hyer of Baraboo, Sally Witte of Baraboo, David Davis of Inverness, FL and Tim Davis of Mauston; her granddaughter, Mariya Winchel of Tomah; two great-grandsons, Blake Winchel and Shane Winchel; many nieces, nephews and special friends Judith Connick of Baraboo and Mary Anne Steberis of Baraboo.Charlotte was precede in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; sister, LuluJean Tews and her daughter, Margaret.Special thanks to St. Clare Meadows Assisted Living staff whom she truly enjoyed through her many years there. Appreciation also goes to the ER and ICU staff at St. Clare Hospital for the great care she received. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. with Pastor Lisa Taylor officiating at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
