Mark Lee "Bucky" Bender, age 51 of Baraboo passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Mark, son of Donald and Sharon (Kendall) Bender was born June 23, 1965 in Baraboo. He attended the Baraboo School District for many years and graduated from Waunakee High School, Class of 1986. Mark enjoyed Special Olympics, including softball and bowling. He also enjoyed participating in Wisconsin State Badger Camp, Boy Scout Explorer Post 2391, and Fishing Has No Boundaries. Bucky loved sports, especially listening to local games including the Packers, Badgers and Brewers and attending preseason Packer games.Survivors include his siblings, Dawn (Bob) Blacker, Don (Cathi) Bender, Melissa Decorah, Connie (Wayne) Dees, and Kellie (Tom) Bergen; step-mother, Rajean Bender as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Marianne Cotter officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, North Freedom. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to special caretakers that cared for Mark throughout the years including Rita, Betsy, and Brenda and Tanya.
