Philip S. Harrison, age 96, of Baraboo, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Philip, son of William and Lillian (Baxter) Harrison was born March 5, 1921 in Baraboo, Wisconsin. On January 29, 1942 he was united in marriage to Helen Burtch in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Philip served with the United States Army in WWII. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting wood and working with his hands on anything mechanical. He was a Jack of all trades and could/ would talk to anyone for hours. Over the course of his career at the Sauk County Highway Department, he held a variety of positions, retiring as a shop foreman.Philip is survived by his children, Jerry (Carol) Harrison of Baraboo, Dannie (Pam) Harrison of Paducah, Kentucky and Penny (Joseph) Noel of Greenfield; 6 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends. Philip was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Harrison; brothers, Walter and Dean Harrison; grandson Tony Harrison.Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Marianne Cotter officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery where Military Rites will be conducted.
