Flora Lee Gudmandsen

Flora Lee Gudmandsen, 91, of Baraboo, passed away March 1, 2017 at Oak Park Place.Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Baraboo, WI on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass with Father Jay Poster officiating. The Daughters of Isabella will pray the rosary on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the church in honor of Flora Lee. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Redlin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Flora Lee was born in Milwaukee to Merideth and Delsie Layton on February 7th, 1926. She went to high school at West Division High School and graduated in 1944.She worked during the war years then married Chester V. Goetz in September of 1946 and raised their 3 children. She was involved with the Daughters of Isabella at St. Joseph's and volunteered as a candy striper at St. Clare Hospital. She married Robert Gudmandsen in December of 1992.Flora Lee was preceded in death by her husband; Chester Goetz, daughter; Janet Goetz, husband; Robert Gudmandsen and granddaughter; Ashlee Goetz.Flora Lee is survived by her brother; Ronald Layton of Watertown, daughter; Carol (Herb) Riedner, son; Gary (Allison) Goetz, four grandchildren; Elias Vignali, Silas (Brandy) Vignali, Eric (Meghann) Riedner, and Reba Riedner; and 7 great grandchildren, step-daughter, Ellen Weiss and special friend Jeanie Olsen.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Baraboo.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Oak Park Place and Agrace Hospice Care for their love and attention these last few years.
