Eugene H. Kluender, age 80 of Baraboo passed away on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Eugene, son of Henry and Henrietta Inez (Hein) Kluender was born July 2, 1936 in Baraboo. On Aug. 30, 1957 he was united in marriage to Ruth Curry. Eugene proudly served his country in the United States National Guard and was honorably discharged. He worked at Eagle Signal and later retired from the Baraboo Post Office. Eugene was a member of the Baraboo Masonic Lodge and served as Master in 1987. In his free time he enjoyed cooking, gardening and going on cruises.Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Ruth; children, Teresa Littlegeorge, Tracy Heidemann, Tammy (Donald) Ouimet, Todd (Sylvia) Kluender and Tim Kluender; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Carol) Kluender; brother-in-law, Donald Curry as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and sons-in-law, Bradley Littlegeorge and Mike Heidemann.Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Marianne Cotter officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic service at the funeral home on Monday at 7 p.m. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Redlin Funeral is assisting the family.
