Joseph E. Naquin


Joseph E. "Joe" Naquin, age 82 of Baraboo passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at St. Clare Hospital. Joseph, son of Joseph, Sr. and Rosemary (Clemant) Naquin was born March 1, 1934 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School in New Orleans. On Oct. 5, 1957 he was united in marriage to Patricia Ceaglske at St. Anthony of Padua in New Orleans. Joe proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Teel Plastics for many years until his retirement. Friends and family will fondly remember Joe for his love of cigars. In his free time he enjoyed golfing and he took great pride in his well-manicured lawn. Joe was active at St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years.Survivors include his loving wife of over 59 years, Pat; children, Joey (Sandy) Naquin, Jamie (Bonnie) Naquin, Julie (Andy) Mitchell, Jeaunne (Ken) Sorenson, Jenny Mueller, Jill Quinn; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jayee Carson and Therese Durel as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rosemary Cambre and Lorraine Omner; son-in-law, Thomas Mueller; granddaughter, Nikki Spencer; and great-granddaughter, Kennedey Mueller.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Baraboo Veterans Honor Guard at the cemetery.
