Stephan V. “Steve” Andersen


Stephan V. "Steve" Andersen, age 64 of Baraboo, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at home due to complications from treatment for leukemia. Steve, son of Walter and Dorothea Andersen, was born on October 13, 1952 in Illinois. He was a graduate of West High School, Madison Wisconsin. On May 7, 1983 he was united in marriage to Pam Simonds. Steve spent his working life in television and video production; working at WISC Channel 3 and WMTV Channel 15 in Madison, Rustad-Wickem Video, Grassland Media and Baraboo Broadcasting. He was also the owner of Editorium, a video post-production business in Madison. Steve was an avid sports fan, especially Wisconsin Badger football and basketball. He enjoyed walks at Devils Lake, listening to music, jewelry making and watching old movies. He was kind, thoughtful and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter G. and Dorothea (Lange) Andersen and sister; Jacqualine (husband Bruce) Ehlke. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Pam Andersen of Baraboo; sister, Shirley (husband Roger) Peterson of Fitchburg; sister Caryl (husband Ronald) Carr of Michigan; brother-in-law Scott (wife Patsy) Simonds of Baraboo; nephew John Ehlke of Baraboo; nephew Peter Simonds of Colorado; niece Sarah Simonds of Utah and beloved pets Spencer and Bucky. There will be no formal funeral service. A scattering of ashes will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family or in Steve's name to the Sauk County Humane Society."I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death.
