Kevin Kane Jantz


Kevin Kane Jantz, 59, died peacefully at home Wednesday, November 23, 2016.Kevin was born the third of five children to Harry and Margaret (Kane) Jantz on December 27, 1956. He was blessed to grow up on the family farm in the Town of Fairfield.After graduating from Baraboo High School in 1975, Kevin served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. For the next 29 years he was employed by Wisconsin Power & Light/Alliant Energy. In 2007, Kevin suffered a life-altering traumatic brain injury forcing early retirement. Kevin lived to be a conduit of the love of God to those around him. He enjoyed farming, running, and riding motorcycle. He worked hard, helped others, shared generously and sought to glorify God in all of his life.Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Harry.He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Zachary (Amy), Peter (Emily), Andrew (Erica) and grandchildren, Chara, Elisha, Timothy, Caleb, Elyse, Clara, Ian, Wesley, Ada and Ailee. He is further survived by his mother, Margaret; siblings, Stuart (Susan) Jantz, Carolynn (Chuck) Koberstein, Gail (Mark) Barnes and Susan (Timothy) Schultz; in-laws, Marlys Schulz and Don (Marge) Pardun; brother-in-law, Gary (Carol) Pardun and other dear relatives and friends.A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 3 pm Friday, November 25 at Emanuel United Methodist Church in Baraboo with Pastor Paula Bremer of Caledonia Presbyterian Church officiating. A time of fellowship at the church will follow. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 pm until the time of service. Memorial gifts may be made to People Helping People or Caledonia Presbyterian Church (Missions). The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
