Marc J. Higgins, age 67, passed away on Friday, Nov 4, 2016 at his home due to heart issues. He was born in Dodgeville WI, June 28, 1949 to John " Happy" and Kathryn Egan Higgins. He attended Dodgeville Schools and graduated with the class of 1967. He served with the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked at several jobs in the Dodgeville area before moving to Green Bay where he owned his own business, MJ Landscape Company. Marc retired and moved to Baraboo WI. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Crist Higgins; his three daughters, Angie (Jack) Glonec and their son Riley, Heather (Nick) Volden and their son Ashton, Viroqua, WI., and Kelly (Jerod) Rickleff, LaCross WI. Mark is also survived by his sister, Marcia Russell, DePere, WI. and his brother, Paul Higgins and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his step children, Tracy Crist (Susan) of DePere WI, Jamie Anderson (Laurie) of Baraboo, WI and Erica Anderson of Green Bay, WI. Grandchildren: Brent Wade, Paige, Joey, Wyatt, Dakota Anderson, Alix and Caden Carpenter and Charlie Anderson, Addy and Dawson Martz and his dog Bandit. He was preceded in death by his parents.Marc loved to golf and was a member of the Dodgeville Country Club for several years. He also loved to sit around a campfire talking with his grandchildren. A couple of comments were: Love you so much. What I wouldn't give to be back 15 plus years sitting on that old green squeaking bench with you. May you Rest In Peace Grandpa. Grandpa Marc Higgins, thank you for taking me in as your grandson, I'll never forget all the memories with you, especially trying to teach Joe and I how to golf in your old basement! I know you're in no more pain and probably up there giving some golfing lessons, I love you Grandpa! Words cannot express how deeply Marc will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
