Barbara L. Tindle


Barbara "Babs" L. Tindle, age 88 of Baraboo passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 after a long courageous fight with Alzheimer's Disease at St. Clare Meadows Care Center. Barbara, daughter of Robert and Virgie (Hall) Pollard was born May 8, 1928 in Charleston, Indiana. Barbara worked for Chicago Rawhide as a Dispatcher for many years; she also was a general manager for numerous hotels in Wisconsin Dells and Hannibal, Missouri. In her free time she loved cooking for the holidays and sewing but most of all her family and faith were the most important. She was a member New Life Community Advent Christian Church; her favorite passage was Footprints In The Sand'.Survivors include her children, Sandra (George) Sobotka and Deborah (Thomas) Schweda; grandchildren, Tina (Jerry) Ashmore, Kimberly Stroud-Bonturi, Melissa (David) Greenwood, Melanie Platt, Laura (Johniah) Tindle Turner, Jeremy (Karen) Tindle, Barbi (Doug) Barrett; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles (Dorothy) Pollard, Kenneth Pollard, Marcia (Larry) Perry; daughter-in-law, Patricia Tindle; special friends, Doris Duncan, Jane and Bill Graves and Jayne and Gary Gilbertson as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice "Ed"; son, Ronald E. Tindle; as well as four siblings.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
