Rudolph "Rudy" Conrad Peterson, Jr., age 79 of Baraboo died on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at home. Rudolph, son of Rudolph and Clara (Johnson) Peterson, Sr. was born Nov. 10, 1936 in Madison. On Oct. 12, 1957 he was united in marriage to Judith Winter. He was a lifelong member of Painters Local 802 in Madison and was retired from the US Air Force- Air National Guard after 20 years of dedicated service.He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judy; as well as a number of other relatives and close friends.He was preceded in death by his sons, Rudolph Conrad Peterson III and Mark Allen Peterson in 1978.Memorial Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Nick Maglietto officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery where military rites will be conducted.
