Jon Milton Hart, age 67 of Reedsburg passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at home. Jon, son of Robert and Shirley (Bane) Hart was born in Champaign, Illinois on Aug. 20, 1948. Jon graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor's Degree in 1970; he then furthered his studies by obtaining a Master of Arts Degree in 1973 from the University of Northern Colorado. Jon also completed additional courses at University of Wisconsin, Baraboo and MATC in Reedsburg. On Aug. 23, 2008 he was united in marriage to Renee Vethe. Jon worked for Wi-Skies Engineering as a lighting and electrical designer since 2012; he was previously employed by EJM Engineering from 2005 until 2012 in Chicago. Jon also worked for Peterson Electric in Baraboo for three years. In his free time Jon enjoyed collecting model railroad trains and Farmall tractors. He was a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage and the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions.Survivors include his loving wife, Renee; daughter, Kelsie (Shawn) Schmidt; sister, Betty Hart; in-laws, Ray (Kay) Getschman as well as other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home in Baraboo. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service.
