Agnes M. Comte, age 99 of Baraboo passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center. Agnes, daughter of George and Anna Trubachik was born on Jan. 5, 1917 in Barberton, Ohio. On June 23, 1934 she was united in marriage to Wallace J. Comte, Sr. at St. Peter's Church in Dauby, WI. Agnes was a member of the Daughters of Isabella as well as past president of Royal Neighbors and the Eagles Club. She was employed by Industrial Coils for 23 years until her retirement.She is survived by her children, Wallace (Diane) Comte, Jr. of Baraboo, Mary Opperud of Sandy, OR, Louis (Sue) Comte of Sanford, ME and Margaret (Nick) Hahn of Gresham, OR; as well as 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, James Riley as well as other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace, Sr.; son, Joseph Comte; daughter, Katherine Comte; siblings, Joseph (Ines) Trubachik, John Trubachik, George (Bernice) Trubachik, Margaret Riley, Mary (William) Keyes and Steve Trubachik.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Chris Gernetzke officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
