Lola Greenwood


Lola Greenwood, 93, of Baraboo passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the St. Clare Meadows Care Center. She was born the daughter of Louie and Verdie (Webster) Wagner on July 31, 1922 in Reedsburg. Lola was united in marriage to Donald B. Greenwood on June 10, 1942 at San Louis Obispo, California. Lola was a longtime member of the Walnut Hill Bible Church in Baraboo. She is survived by her daughters, Judith (David) Kamla of Baraboo, Joann (James) Wright of Baraboo, and Beverly Scheppke of Blanchard, OK; eight grandchildren, Matthew (Jennifer) Kamla, Andrew (Candice) Kamla, John (Brooke) Wright, Jaime (Nathan) Sundsmo, Marti Scheppke, Wesley Scheppke, and Caitlin (Johnny) Drewrey; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Florence Seamans, Phyllis Montgomery, and Ruthie Christian; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Lola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; brother, Ray Wagner; sisters, Helen Schultz, Josephine Greenwood, Ula Verdine Groves; granddaughter, Kelly Kamla; a son-in-law, David Scheppke; and three Sundsmo infant great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Walnut Hill Bible Church in Baraboo with Pastor Dave Hutchens officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9am until the time of service at the church. Burial will be held at 3pm at the Greenwood Cemetery in Reedsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Veteran's Care Trust Fund, 505 Broadway Rm 205, Baraboo, WI 53913; this fund helps veteran's with their basic needs as they transition from service to civilian life. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
