Darleen Marie Haagensen, age 87 of Lake Delton passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at Sauk County Health Care Center with family by her side. Darleen, daughter of Ferdinand John and Ella (Steinhorst) Giebel was born April 8, 1928 in Sauk County.On May 28, 1949 she was united in marriage to Harold J. Haagensen; he preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1968.Darleen worked in the bakery department at Pierce's Pick n Save for many years and later went to work for the Baraboo School District in the kitchen.In her free time she enjoyed gardening, doing puzzles and spending time with her dog, Buddy and her family.Survivors include her children, Sharleen (William) Stoffels, Pamela (David) Rick, Thomas (Vickie Rains) Haagensen, Kay (Tony) Ziech, Lorie (Dale) Koch; grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Stricker, Sarah (Jeff) Schultz, Rebecca (Jeremy) Gilbertson, Mary (Andrew) Peterson, Jerome Ziech, Andrew (Michelle Castile) Rick, Keith Koch; five great-grandchildren with a sixth expected in June; brother, Marvin Giebel; brother-in-law, Lloyd Reilley; sister-in-law, Helene Giebel; son-in-law, Thomas Shew; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; daughter, Konalee Shew; brother, Duane Giebel; sister, Shirley Reilley; and sister-in-law, Laverne Giebel.Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Carl Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will be held at Norway Grove Memorial Cemetery in DeForest on Thursday at 2 p.m. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
