Arphaline R. Church, age 96, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center. She was born on October 12, 1919 to Emil and Selma Zimmerly. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Church on October 12, 1938. She worked for many years as a receptionist at multiple clinics. Arphaline was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a strong voice in the choir for 50 years. She was a volunteer at Circus World and The Al Ringling Theater. She also loved to travel, garden, and sew. Arphaline is survived by her sons, Robert (Beverly) Church of Chippewa Falls and Rick (Myong) Church of Kansas City, MO; granddaughters, Becky (Jeff) Brandt, Barbra (Craig) Frenette, Karen (Stu) Ellis, and Tania (Kevin) Diehl; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jenna, Kaylee, Isaac, Addison, Austin, Matthew, Marissa, Kyler, Kaylee, Kenny, and Leigh; brother, Robert Zimmerly; brother-in-law, Byron McDonald; special niece, Donna (Lowell) Opperman; special nephew, Matt McDonald; and step-daughter, Sue Nanson. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.Arphaline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; brothers, Edwin and Phillip; sister, Phyllis; brothers-in-law, LeRoy, Howard (Thelma), and Ted (Virginia). Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo at 11AM with Pastor Nicolas Maglietto officiating. Visitation will be held at 9 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
