Jeanne Marie Blum, age 71 of Baraboo passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015. Jeanne, daughter of Leonard "Chickie" and Alvina (Theis) Baier was born April 6, 1944 in Sauk City. She was a graduate of Sauk City High School. In June of 1982 she was united in marriage to Rodney Blum in The Little Brown Church in Iowa. Jeanne was employed by K-Mart for over 20 years as well as Pierce's Supermarket in Baraboo. In her free time she enjoyed going on road trips with Rod antiquing as well as decorating and reading. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband, Rodney; sons, Doug, Jim, and Mike Weiland; step-son, Gordie (Chris) Blum all of Baraboo; grandchildren, Jacob, Jared, Jamie, Brianna, Jovanna, and Caden; sisters, Joyce Steensrud of Huston, TX and Judith (Richard) Pape of Sauk City; brother, James (Denise) Baier of Lake Havasu, AZ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents.Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Marianne Cotter officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Donations may be made in Jeanne's name to the UW Carbone Cancer Center in Madison.
