David Gregerson


David Gregerson, 77 a long time resident of rural Wisconsin Dells passed August 5, 2015 in the Sauk Prairie Hospital. He was born In Chicago, December 10, 1937, the only child of George and Evelyn (Hagborg) Gregerson. They moved to the Wisconsin Dells area in 1940 when David was just 3 years old. He attended a local rural one room school and graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1955. He farmed with his parents and after his parents died he worked the farm by himself on Oak Hill Road. He raised cattle, horses, llamas and other farm animals, as well as various crops. He was a dairy farmer for many years and switched to beef cattle in recent years. He always found time for a nice garden too. He loved horses, his dog, Maggie and other animals. He enjoyed the Badger Steam and Gas Show where he would showcase his own tractors. David was a regular attendee of the Midwest Horse Fair in Madison. He loved to mini golf, ride the Ducks and go on boat rides with his cousins. David will always be remembered as someone who was willing to help others in need. He was known for having a smile on his face and treating others as he would want to be treated. David made many friends and was always available to do favors for others. He will be greatly missed. David was a good singer and often sang duets with his father, and later was a proud member of the Friesland Community Men's Choir that performs around the state. He had a very strong faith and was proud to share his love of Christ. Bible studies were his passion. He was always active in church, first in Lyndon Station, then Mauston, and at Baraboo Assembly of God for many years where he served in different capacities. Of late, he had been active in Christian Advent Church in LaValle. He was proceeded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles and a cousin. He is survived by cousins, Hildred Lou Johnson, Sherrill Schulenberg, Vernon Smith, Glen Smith; fiance, Phyllis Williams; and numerous 2nd cousins and other friends.Funeral services will be held Wednesday , August 12, 2015 at 12 p.m. at the Emanuel United Methodist Church, 101 14th Street Baraboo. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. On Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave. Baraboo and from 11 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of the service at the church. Officiating will be Reverend Blake Overlien of Emanuel United Methodist Church and Reverend Richard Johnson of LaValle Advent Christian Church. Burial will be beside his parents in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo."I'm leaving this world and I'm going to be with Jesus, which is far better."-David Gregerson
