Darlene Mae Klem


Darlene Mae Klem, Baraboo Darlene Mae (Bates) Klem of Baraboo was born to Dell and Esther Bates on Oct. 3, 1927. She married Charles H. Dumke on Dec. 14, 1944 and later divorced. She married Al Klem on Nov. 29, 1980.  She is survived by her husband, Al; four children, Pat (Denny) Bauer of Weslaco, TX, Judy (Jeff) Werner of West Bend, Bob (Joyce) Dumke of Baraboo, Mike (Debbie) Dumke of Baraboo and stepson, Jonathan (Ellen) Klem of Kansas City, MO. She is further survived by her 12 grandchildren, Tim (Kelly) Parbs, Tony (Mary Jo) Parbs, Kathy (Steve) Brzozowski, Tricia (Tim) Condon, Andrea (Sean) Mountain, Gloria (Chad) Sweet, Jacob Dumke, Mindy Dumke, Cecelia Klem, Ralph Klem, Lionel Klem and Florence "Flossie" Klem; 15 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Daniel) Gawrisch, Karah Parbs, Tyler Parbs, Cheyenne Parbs, Brandon Brzozowski, Nicole Brzozowski, Nolan Condon, Ella Condon, Allison Dumke, Mariah Alicia, Jada Reeb, Kira Sweet, Mariah Harmeson, Grace DuCharme and Mayson Dumke; as well as one great-great-grandson, Owen Gawrisch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dell and Esther Bates; her half-brother, Art Bohnsack and half-sister, Ruth Martin. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Baraboo with Pastor Karen Hofstad officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family. The family would like to thank the nurses at Home Health United, especially Alecia, Julie and Sally for their kindness and compassion. Special thank you to Pat Zirzow, Carole, Cindy, Cris, Kelly and Tami who came to the house many times when Dar was homebound, and lifelong friend, Lonita Schulze.
