Frank John Christianson


Frank John Christianson, age 93, of Baraboo passed away July 12, 2015 in Wisconsin Dells. He was born to William and Dorthea Christianson on March 25, 1922. Frank was united in marriage to Virginia Hagar in 1942. Frank enjoyed spending time hunting. He also spent his time fishing in Canada and Lake Michigan with the boys. He worked as a mechanic in Baraboo and Madison. Frank served his country in World War II, where he was a scout leader. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, taking rides with his dogs, loved to walk around Baraboo, and he enjoyed his afternoon beer. He also took care of his granddaughter, Shawne. Frank is survived by his children Ollie (Beverly) Christianson, Ray (Sue) Christianson, Beverly (Gary) Higgins, Cliff (Lori) Christianson, Bob (Carol) Paulus; sister, Lillian Gates of North Freedom; sister-in-law, Gertrude Christianson of Stoughton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Virginia; son, Kenneth; grandson, Arnold; brothers, Arthur, Bill, and Raymond; sister, Evelyn (Jim) Holmes; and special friends, Betty Kasdorf and Millie Paulus. Funeral Services will take place at Redlin Funeral Home on Thursday July 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery where military rites will be performed by Baraboo Veterans Honor Guard.The family would like to thank Frank's granddaughter, Amy for taking care of him.
