Bruce C. Wallace, 72, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at his home in Baraboo. He was born on Dec. 5, 1942, the son of Charles and Lillian (Urban) Wallace. He was united in marriage to Shirley Hyer on Nov. 12, 1983. He graduated from Menomonee Falls High School and proudly served in the US Army, being stationed in Germany. He was a member of VFW 987. His special interests included building and flying ultralights, riding his Harley, nurturing his backyard birds, and reading. Bruce is survived by his wife, Shirley; son Charlie (Jayme); siblings, Dale (Maryann), Diane, Craig (Donna); and his faithful canine companion, Eli. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Bernie Schad; and brother, Brian.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Walnut Hill Bible Church, 1900 East St. in Baraboo, with Pastor Dave Hutchens officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will immediately follow in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by VFW Post 987. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to People Helping People, 309 Mine Rd, Baraboo, WI 53913 or the charity of your choice.
