Alice M. Ulrich


Alice Marie Ulrich, age 77, of North Freedom passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Meadow View Memory Care in Baraboo. Alice was born the daughter of Herman and Marie (Kessler) Doering on August 18, 1937 in Baraboo. She was united in marriage to James Ulrich on July 14, 1956 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Freedom. Alice worked for 30 years at the North Freedom Elementary School. After her retirement in 2002, she loved working with the children so much that she continued to volunteer at the school. Because Alice loved reading so much she served on the Library Board in North Freedom. She was a long time member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Freedom where she volunteered for the Ladies Aid. Alice loved working in her garden and would take her flowers to the Sauk County Fair yearly. She also enjoyed leading the Lucky M 4-H Club. Alice is survived by her husband, James; children, Mike (Karen), Dave (Susan), Steve (Amy), and Kevin (Julie); grandchildren, Sean (Kristen Jo Koleske) Pinnow, Kyle and Casey Ulrich, Alexis (Jacob) Dorn, Taylor (Sydney Warrenburg) Ulrich, Jaren, Brady, Madison and Caley Ulrich. She is further survived by her brothers, Norman (Juanita) Doering and Gary (Sher) Doering; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Reinhart and Eleanor Ulrich.A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Freedom with Pastor Andrew Meyer officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 5:00-7:00p.m. at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave, Baraboo. Continued visitation will take place on Tuesday from10:00a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow services at the Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin, 517 N.
