Marjorie (Sommer) Andrews-Rollins-Lythjohan


How do you sum up a life in a few short paragraphs? "The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they must be felt with the heart" Helen Keller. Mom will forever remain in our hearts.Marjorie (Sommer) Andrews-Rollins-Lythjohan of Sauk City, age 86, was promoted to heaven on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. She was born April 25, 1928, the daughter of Jenny and Paul Sommer. Marjorie and her husband Homer raised their five children on the family farm in Darlington. From there, the family moved to Lamont and purchased the General Store. Later the family moved to Cobb where they built, owned, and operated the Cobb Super Market. The family then moved to Janesville and later to New Glarus where they purchased and operated the Wilhelm Tell Supper Club.Besides her family, one of Marjorie's joys was music. She sang, wrote and recorded her music. Her hymns are still being sung in Barnes, WI where she spent the summers with her third husband, Bruce Lythjohan.Marjorie is survived by her children, Lonnie (Robert) Junceau, Larry Andrews, Cynthia (Patrick) Ploor, Ike (Mary) Andrews, and Teri Conlin; 11 grandchildren as well as 26 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert, Clayton, Jimmy and John Sommer; and husbands, Homer Andrews, Roy Rollins and Bruce Lythjohan.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Lindsey officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will follow the services in Argyle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospice or Gideon Bible Society.A special thanks to all who took wonderful care of Mom at Maplewood and St. Jude Hospice.
