Thomas Kuester


Thomas "Tom" Kuester, age 74, of Cross Plains/ Baraboo passed away, surrounded by his family, on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Agrace Health Center in Fitchburg. Tom was born on December 24, 1940 to Elmer and Ursula (Kutzler) Kuester in Greenwood. He was united in marriage to Darla Cizik on June 3, 1966 in Owen/Withee at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.He was a 1958 graduate of Thorp High School. Tom was an avid athlete; he enjoyed basketball, softball, and senior softball. He loved playing cards, as well as playing guitar; singing and entertaining people. He always greeted everyone with a smile, he always had time for anyone who stopped by to visit or needed help or advice. He will always be remembered for his kindness and compassion for people.Tom, along with his wife, Darla, owned and operated several businesses throughout the state. He was most known for owning and operating The Farm Kitchen in Baraboo for over 30 years.Tom is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Darla; children, Tom, Tama (Todd), Jodi; grandchildren, Benjamin, Tommy, Tristyn, Kris, Kortnee, and McKenzie; and a great-grandson, Benny. He is further survived by his siblings, Pat (Gordy) Rolland, Becky (Jay) LaBonte, Clarice (Rich) Novell, and Rick (LuAnn) Kuester; brother-in-law, Bruce Cizik; and many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and dear friends.A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00p.m. Noon on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Walnut Hill Bible Church with Pastor Dave Hutchens officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00a.m. until the time of service at the church.
