Michael S. Noennig


Michael "Milwaukee Mike" Noennig, age 66 of Baraboo passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at home with his family by his side. Mike, son of Arthur and Gertrude (Coyme) Noennig was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 17, 1948. He proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army on Oct. 29, 1968. He spent the majority of his time as a gunner on a helicopter. Mike was discharged on Dec. 6, 1973; he was awarded the Purple Heart during his time in the service. After meeting Lucille Giese on Valentine's Day, they were united in marriage on Nov. 14, 1998 at Rivers Edge. Mike and Lucy were the love of each other's life. Mike liked to travel, fish, work on cars, drink beer, and work around the yard. He enjoyed racing cars and even served as a first responder at the track during races.Survivors include, his wife, Lucy; daughters, Denise (Ryan) Rego, April, Michelle Noennig and Christine Lewis; son, Tom Kleist; 13 grandchildren; brother, Daniel (Sue) Noennig; sister, Marty; best friend, Walter Schwetz; he is further survived by many nieces; nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was loved by everyone.He was preceded in death by his parents.Memorial services will be held at New Life Community Advent Christian Church on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014 at noon with Pastor Jesse Stevens officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at noon at the church.Puppy Buddy will miss you.
