LaVida Mae Ironmonger


LaVida Mae Ironmonger, age 79 of Baraboo passed away on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 at St. Clare Hospital. LaVida, daughter of John and Florence (Seeley) Oler was born Sept. 14, 1935. She graduated from Ithaca High School in 1973 and then went on to get her beautician license and worked in a beauty salon in Reedsburg. She was united in marriage to Oscar Ironmonger on Sept. 21, 1953 in Waukon, Iowa. In her free time she enjoyed camping, walking, cooking for her grandkids, and traveling. Recently she visited Branson with friends to enjoy country music. She went to many local shows with her friends; she never missed listening to Charlie Pride.Survivors include her three children, Lawrence Ironmonger, Sandra (Mike) Holt, all of Baraboo, and Danny (Michele) Ironmonger of Oregon; four grandchildren, Brian, Luke, Danielle and Nathan Ironmonger as well as other relatives and friends.In addition to her parents, LaVida was preceded in death by her husband in 2010; sisters, Lucy McCaskey, Delora Markin and Irene Kukonen; and brothers, Forrest and Lloyd Oler.Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Oct.9th, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Derick Bacon and Pastor Bill Haskins co-officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 8th, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home as well as on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow the services at Big Willow Cemetery in Willow Township, Richland County.
