Laura Elizabeth 'Liz' Weinke


Laura Elizabeth 'Liz' Weinke, BarabooLaura Elizabeth 'Liz' Weinke passed away peacefully at St. Clare Meadows Care Center in Baraboo on Oct. 2, 2014 at the age of 102. Liz was born in Plain on April 9, 1912. She married Arthur Weinke on Nov. 18, 1941 and was blessed with four children. Liz worked many years as a Service Aide at St. Mary's Ringling Manor in Baraboo. Liz enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who fondly called her Grandma Bingo. She loved to play Bingo at Ho-Chunk, the Meadows and also played many games of cards (Euchre, Wahooo) with family and friends. She loved to cross stitch and made many tablecloths she shared with family. Liz is survived by her children, Kathleen Jenewein of Beach Park, Ill., Delores Collins of Baraboo and Wilma (Gary) Jenewein of Kenosha; grandchildren, Lisa Fosbrook, Robert (Michelle) Jenewein, Sharie (Chris) Enrici, Susan Jenewein, Wade Collins, Tiffany (David) McPheeters, Clint (Brandy) Collins, Shane (Liza) Collins, Stacey (Frank) Morrissey, Todd (Susan) Jenewein; great-grandchildren Billy Fosbrook, Elizabeth Fosbrook, Robert Jenewein, Rachel Jenewein, Hunter Enrici, Kody Enrici, Megan Collins, Rachael Collins, Graydon McPheeters, Sylvia Collins, Samara Collins, Liam Collins, Andrea Morrissey, and Ryan Jenewein; step daughter-in-law, Joanne Weinke; step grandchildren, Carrie Markham, Jeff (Amy) Weinke, Mary (David) Bell, Tina (Bruce) Kirshner; and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Tony, Julia, Chad, Kody, Dillan, and Cole all of Michigan; as well as nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary (Beck) Luther; husband, Arthur; son, Robert; grandson, Tim Jenewein; great-grandson, Trevin Collins; step-grandson, Arty Weinke; brothers, Herman, Lawrence, Ervin, John, Joe, Ray, Tony and Francis Luther; sisters, Eleanor and Annie Luther; step-sons, Arthur Dale Weinke, Donald Weinke; step-daughters, Janet Teel and Darlene Goodwin.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Sessler, as well as all the wonderful nurses and staff at St. Clare Meadows for their loving care and compassion.
