Mildred "Millie" K. Theisen


Mildred "Millie" K. Theisen, age 88, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 0214 at her home. Millie was born on April 11, 1926, in Roxbury, the daughter of Carl and Lena (Magdalene) (Ballweg) Frey. She married James L. Theisen on Oct. 12, 1962, and lived with him for 52 years in the home they built together in Baraboo.Millie was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma. She loved to bake and her apple pies will be missed. She was also an avid card player and loved a good game of euchre. She loved football and wouldn't miss a Packer game.She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth P. McKinney in 1999; her parents; brother, Vincent Frey, and sisters, Magdalene, Florentine and Viola.She is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Theisen of Baraboo; her grandson, Scott H. McKinney of Madison; granddaughter, Andrea (McKinney) Rodrigues Pavao of Verona; and daughter-in-law, Linda A. (McKinney) Carr of Merrimac. Millie has three great-grandchildren, Bram K. McKinney of Madison, Katherine A. McKinney of Madison and Kiria Rodrigues Pavao of Verona; she is further survived by one sister, Connie Meyer of Prairie du Sac and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Millie would like to be remembered as she lived. We will miss Tiger. our family is very grateful for Hospice and all that they do.A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baraboo with Father Garrett Kau officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 at Redlin Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at 11 a.m. Inurnment will take place on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Sauk City.
