Judith A. Girling, Wyocena Judith Alberta Girling, age 87, formerly of Baraboo, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena. Judith, the daughter of the late Irving E. and Wilda M. (Eyers) Russell, was born on March 13, 1927 in Portage. On March 28, 1973, she was united in marriage to James Henry Girling in Brooklyn. He preceded her in death in March of 1997. As a child, Judith attended Endeavor Public Schools. Throughout her life, she had been employed as a maid, in a shoe factory, drove bus, and at a dry cleaners. She enjoyed music and dancing and liked planting her petunias. She loved dogs, especially her two daschunds. She is survived by her children, Gloria (George) Melby of Pardeeville, Terry (Margo) Kluge of Colgate, Richard (Sandy) Kluge of Pardeeville, and Sue Ann (Randy) Rogers of Montello; six grandchildren, Pamela (Tom) Eastman of Portage, Rachael (Michael) Gugluizza of DePere, Travis (Heather) Kluge of Poynette, Dr. Marie (Max) Bertman of Los Angeles, CA, Timothy (Jennifer) Kluge of Milwaukee, and Erica (Rudy) Avila of Pardeeville; two great-grandchildren, Jessica Eastman of Madison and Matty Gugluizza of DePere; her brother, Stuart (Rosemary) Russell of Oxford; her sister-in-law, JoAnn Russell of Fitchburg; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Judith was preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Russell; her sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Harold Hill; her nephews, Don and Jeffery Hill, and numerous other aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m., on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Avenue in Baraboo with Pastor Karen Hofstad officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom. The family would like to thank the Columbia County Health Care Center in Wyocena for the wonderful care shown to Judith over the last 13 years.
