Sherri Mack


Sherri A. Mack, age 53, of Merrimac passed away, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. Sherri endured a brief battle with an extremely aggressive melanoma cancer. She fought courageously while maintaining her signature positive personality throughout her struggle. She strongly believed in the gift of life and was an organ donor. Sherri was born on August 17, 1961 to Willard and Vivian (Barr) Krintz, Sr. at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. Sherri was united in marriage to Neil Mack on December 4, 2004 in Las Vegas. Sherri worked over 20 years at the Sauk Prairie Clinic; where she met many lifelong friends. Along with her family she cherished many days at their home on Lake Wisconsin; there they enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming, playing games, and visiting with one another. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, and attended many games at Lambeau Field. She had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling to Vegas and the Caribbean. Sherri enjoyed having fun at various casinos with friends and family. Sherri dedicated her life to her family and friends; she was very passionate about her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, friends, and pets. She always took care of others, putting them before herself. Sherri was considered extended family and a second "mom" to many who knew her. Sherri is survived by her husband, Neil; her children, Justin (Jenelle Emery) Ganser, Lacey (Charlie Talbot) Ganser, Jaden (Matt Gorniak) Ganser, and Jody (Mike) Rothe; grandchildren, Mason and Adriana Rothe; siblings, Bonnie (Jerry) Ganser, Willard (Lisa) Krintz, Jr., and Kenny Krintz. She is further survived by many beloved nieces; nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; other relatives; and many friends. She also left behind her loyal dogs Jackson and Jake; and numerous "granddogs". Sherri lost her loving dog, Tanner, of 14 years in January 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Marvin Krintz. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the First United Church of Christ, 504 Washington Ave., Sauk City with Pastor William Kapp officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 1:30 pm at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire medical staff, especially the nurses of the oncology unit, at the St. Mary's Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
