William "Bill" D. Vickio

William "Bill" D. Vickio, age 82 of Baraboo, formerly of West Allis, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at his home after a courageous battle with COPD.Bill, the son of the late William and Izabelle (Hunt) Vickio, was born on February 4, 1932. As a young man, he was proud to have served in the US Army. Bill had been married to the love of his life, Rochelle Kadletz, for 57 years. He had been a welder at Rexnord for 36 years. Bill loved hunting and fishing, but most importantly, his family.He is survived by his wife, Rochelle; his son, Steve (Colleen) Vickio; his daughters, Pat (Steve) Gavin, and Michele (Jim) Vershowske; grandchildren, Tony Vickio, Angela (Dan Schubert) Vickio, Jamie (Chrissy) Gavin, Jennifer (Adam Chilson) Gavin, and Rachel, Jessey, and Tyler Vershowske; his brother, James (Marlyce) Vickio; and his sister-in-law, Ella Marie Vickio.Bill is further survived by his parrot, Jade; many other relatives and friends.In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Vickio.A private, family gathering will be held at a later date.
