Everett C. Voll


Everett Carlton Voll, age 92, formerly of Baraboo, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Greenway Manor in Spring Green; after living with his daughter Pamela for two years in Lone Rock. Everett, the son of the late Charles and Densie (Carpenter) Voll, was born on December 19, 1921 in Lyons, Wisconsin. He was a 1940 graduate of Baraboo High School. He was proud to have served in the US Army and had been a member of Baraboo VFW and American Legion Posts. He was united in marriage to 'his one true love' Violet (Hewitt) Voll on June 12, 1942 in Baraboo; she preceded in him in death in 1964. He was later married on June 27, 1966 Ardene J. Burton at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo; she preceded him in death in 2010. He was employed by Hooper, J. P. Cullen and owned Concrete Builders Company. He built the building located behind BMO Harris Bank on 8th Street. He enjoyed fishing, polka music, and especially his 1941 Indian Sport Scout motorcycle. He was an avid baseball fan and was always torn between rooting for the Cubs or Brewers. Everett is survived by three children, Patricia Abitz, Pamela (Randall) Tennessen, and Thomas (friend, Linda) Voll; six grandchildren, Barbara (Darren) Villeneuve, Steven (Cari) Abitz, Paul (Brenda) Hutter, Rhonda (Benito) Orozco, Sheila Voll, and Chadwick Voll; 13 great-grandchildren; his brother, Carl (Shirley) Voll; and brother-on-law, Oliver (Mona) Burton. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; and many friends. In addition to his parents; and his wife, Ardene; Everett was preceded in death by his first wife, Violet (Hewitt) Voll; his brother, Lyle Voll; sister, Verle (Norman III) Stultz; his granddaughter, Angela Voll; and his special dog Booger. Private, family services will be held with Pastor Ervine Vomhof officiating, Burial will follow in the Walnut Hill Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the Baraboo Veterans Honor Guard. Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
