William "Bill" A. Welk
William A. Welk completed his tour of duty on this earth 20 April 2014. Bill was transferred to his permanent duty station with his God.Bill is survived by his children Matthew Phillip and Ellen-Murphy Welk of Peters Creek Alaska; Gwen Ellen and Jerry Lufkin of Anthem, AZ; Amy Louise and John Nee of Madison, WI; and Mark Vincent Welk of Crown Point, Indiana; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Caroline Louise Bettinger Welk; son, William A. Welk; grandson, Aron Lufkin; and parents, "Spot" and Mabel Welk.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Baraboo, with Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery where Military Rites will be conducted by the Baraboo Veterans Honor Guard. NO FLOWERS PLEASE! The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
