Paul D. Ramsey, age 59 of Baraboo died on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014. Paul, son of Charles E. and Virginia E. (Dempsey) Ramsey was born on Aug. 3, 1954 in Baraboo. He worked for over 38 years at Flambeau in the receiving department. Paul proudly served in the Army National Guard. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, taking care of his chickens and cats and spending time with his granddaughters.Survivors include his children, Amanda (Andrew) Meeker, Amber Ramsey and Andrew Ramsey, all of Baraboo; grandchildren, Harley Denman, Shayna Denman, Isabell Meeker and Fallon Sonsalla; the mother of his children, Sue Ramsey of Baraboo; his siblings, Eva Jo (Adolph) Hooker, JoAnne (Walter) Kinzler, Daunnene Hooker, Raleigh (Olive) Ramsey, Theadore (Casandra) Ramsey, Carol (Joseph) Birch, David (Gloria) Ramsey, Kay (Jack) Birch, Pearl (Donald) Schellenberger, Pauline Ramsey, Enain Gardener, Lucy Reichhoff, Penny (Vernon) Carter, Carlyle (Jody) Ramsey, Cyril (Joni) Ramsey; as well as other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Zachary Meeker; brother, Herbert Ramsey; sisters, Johanna Fry, and Judy Hudzinski; brothers-in-law, Palmer Tenjum and William Hooker, and a sister-in-law, Eula (Shinn) Ramsey.Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Rusch officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Military Rites will be conducted by the Baraboo Veterans Honor Guard.
