Christopher 'Chris' R. Gable, age 38, of Bakersfield, CA, formerly of Baraboo died on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 in Bakersfield due to complications from diabetes. Chris, son of Roger and Charlene (Friske) Gable was born on April 26, 1975 in Monroe. He was a 1993 graduate of Baraboo High School and received his Associates Degree at MATC - Milwaukee in Landscaping and Horticulture. He started his working career at Landscape Techniques in Baraboo. Later, he worked at Tower MRL in Sun Prairie and transferred to Bakersfield where he continued his employment through Tower MRL for the last 6 years. In his free time, Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, wood working and painting.Survivors include his parents, Roger (Charlene) Gable; siblings, Tina (Joe) Johnson and Mike Gable; he is further survived by, aunts; uncles; many cousins, other relatives and friends.Chris was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents as well as two uncles.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. Walnut Hill Bible Church with Pastor Dan Gunderson officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at Redlin Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 434 Yellowstone Dr. Suite 202, Madison, WI 53719. Chris will be dearly missed by family and friends.
