Todd A. Allen, age 55, passed away surrounded by his loving family at St. Clare Meadows Care Center in Baraboo on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014. Todd was born April 5, 1958 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was the oldest son of Robert L. Allen & Anne A. (Vernie) Cobb. His parents preceded him in death. He graduated from Pineville High School in 1977. Louisiana was always home to Todd no matter where he resided. Todd most enjoyed spending time with his sister, nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews as well as the special pups in his life. Todd loved unconditionally and was dedicated to his family. He had a passion for the memories of his family and always had a fun 'remember when' story. A strong Christian with child-like faith he was always ready to share the truth of his savior and the power there is in his name. Todd had a love for books and writing. He spent many hours writing poems and short stories many of which were published in magazines over the years. Todd is survived by his sister, Alexis (Luke) Rebman of Baraboo; brother, John Allen of Louisiana; step-sisters, Valerie (Kenny) Lee of Oklahoma and Valgetta Thompson of Oklahoma; step-brother, Carl (Maryvonne) Slayer of New York; 5 Nieces, Skye (Aaron) Williams of Westfield, Amber (Tim) Schoessow of DePere, Autumn (Marv) Schulz of Baraboo, Alana (Mitchell) Wiemann of Mazomanie and Rachel Allen of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; nephew, John Allen II of DePere; step-Niece Sheila (Gavin) Henesley of Oklahoma; step-nephew, Shane Thompson of Oklahoma; and 17 great nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at Redlin Funeral Home with Charles Sabin of Natchitoches, Louisiana & Pastor William Metzger of Open Door Baptist Church in Baraboo co-officiating the service. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 from 10 am until the time of the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
