David Raymond Sacia


David Raymond Sacia died on November 28, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. David, eldest son of Otis Sacia and Martha Skroska (nee Raymond), was born on October 23, 1948. He graduated from Trempealeau High School in 1966. He attended DeVry University in Chicago and received an associate degree. He married his first love, Karen Kriesel on May 23, 2002.David is survived by his loving wife, Karen Sacia (nee Kriesel); his mother MarthaSkroska; his children Jill Sacia of Trempealeau and Lida Rose Sacia of Atlanta; his grandson, Jacob Sobek; and his stepchildren, Todd Severson, Beth Kutsch and Blake Severson. His siblings Ron Sacia, Christi Johnson, Donna Hauser, and Kevin Sacia further survive him. His father, Otis Sacia, preceded him in death.David was a kind, caring and generous individual who had an exceptional sense of humor and loved to sing. He enjoyed solving puzzles of any kind. That puzzle-solving characteristic made him a Jack of many trades (finish carpenter, parts expediter, jewelry salesman, aerial photographer, auto salesman, insurance salesman, mortgage broker) but master of the recycled barn wood businesshis final and most successful puzzle solution.In his later years, David became an aficionado of small furry creatures and birds. He named the squirrels in his back yard (Big Bob, Little Bob and Scraggly). He would take his dogs out to feed the birds. His dogs, Penny the Sheltie and Phoebe the Teddy Bear, are very confused that the "treat machine" is no longer here to pamper them.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, 416 Ash Street, Baraboo, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greater Sauk County Community Foundation Grants Fund, P. O. Box 544, Baraboo, WI. 53913.
