Muriel "Genie" Lange


Muriel "Genie" Lange passed away on Monday, Nov 18, 2013 at St. Clare Hospice House. Genie was born June 9, 1922 in Montfort, WI, to the Rev. Walter C. and Marion L. Snow and her sister was Betty (Ivan) Kittleson. She was the wife of Henry "Hank" Lange for more than 70 years. They have two daughters, Nancy (Jerry) Rood and Barbara (Jerry) Traxler; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Gary) Martin, Sandra (Steve) Rohrer and Robert (Kara) Traxler; and nine great grandchildren, Patrick, Benjamin and Katie Martin, Kortney, Kayla, Josie and Julia Traxler, and Sam and Max Rohrer. She was also survived by a niece, Karen VonAllman.Many of her dearest friends came from her husband's family. She had a love for a lot of things, the love for God being the most important. She also loved family, music, animals and high school basketball. If she couldn't make it to a game, you could be sure she would be listening to it on the radio. She was a true sports fan.She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her grandson, Greg Rood; and her sister and brother-in-law Betty and Ivan Kittleson and many other relatives and friends.The family would like to thank Amy Gavinski and her team for the wonderful care she received on the assisted living side of St. Clare Meadows. They made it her home for seven years.Private services were held. Redlin Funeral Home assisted the family.
