Joyce Braithwaite

Joyce I. (Gunderson) Braithwaite, 95, of Baraboo passed away on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at St. Clare Hospital. Joyce was born on March 5, 1918 to George and Myrtle (Burroughs) Gunderson in Lone Rock. On April 29, 1944 she was united in marriage to Darwin Braithwaite, he preceded her in death on April 9, 1998. Joyce, along with her husband, owned and operated Baraboo Sporting Goods Store, until her retirement in 1977.Joyce is survived by her cousins, Susan (Ken) Bischmann of Waukesha and Robert Strack of Galesberg, Ill; as well as dear friends, Colleen DuBois, Betty Smith, and Audrey Keiffer all of Baraboo; she is further survived by other relatives and friends.A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at the Arena Cemetery in Arena, Wis. Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.The family would like to extend a special 'Thank You' to the caregivers at Home Instead Senior Care for their great care and compassion.
