Terrence 'Terry' L. Olson

Terrence 'Terry' Lee Olson, age 68, of Bear Valley passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at his farm. Terry was born on September 7, 1945 in Richland Center to Carl and Geneva (Johnson) Olson. He was united in marriage to Jane Muma on Dec. 6, 1968, together they resided in Baraboo.Terry spent four years in the Air Force and served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He worked for 39 years for Alliant Energy, formerly Wisconsin Power and Light. He enjoyed motorcycling, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family. He enjoyed his retirement by taking care of the family farm in Bear Valley.Terry is survived by children, Carl David and Teresa; siblings, Chris (Pat) Olson of Baraboo, Linda (Bill) Beisenstein of Madison, Judy Briggs of Bruce, Ruth (Duane) Whittacker of Americus, GA, Marianne (Dan) Baumgarten of Reedsburg, Cathie (Dwayne) Faber of Bear Valley; aunts, Phyllis Meister, Gloria Olson and Ruby Shelter; and special neighbors, Jerry and Laura Kast; he is further survived by many nieces; nephews; lots of relatives; and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at the Sandusky United Methodist Church in Hillpoint with Pastor Chad Hertler officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. on Tues., Oct. 15, 2013 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave. Baraboo. Continued visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at the church. Burial will follow the service in North Otter Creek Cemetery in Lone Rock. Military Rites will be conducted at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sandusky United Methodist Church in Hillpoint.
